Privacy policy

This policy explains what information gasandoilexpo.com handles and why. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Reading the site

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts or social media pixels. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (the address of your device, the page requested, the time and your browser type) so that we can keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to build profiles.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data on our behalf to protect the site from attacks and to deliver pages quickly.

Writing to us

When you use the contact form or write to pressroom@gasandoilexpo.com, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share your details. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated spam; Turnstile checks your browser and may set a short-lived token for that purpose.

Paid links

Some pages carry labelled boxes from shops or course providers we work with through affiliate networks such as CJ Affiliate and MaxBounty. When you click one, the network and the merchant can record that the visit came from this site, usually with a cookie, so that a purchase can be credited to us. That happens on their sites under their own privacy policies. We only receive totals of clicks and sales, never your personal details. On our side we count clicks on these boxes as daily totals per box, without storing your address or any identifier.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site works without them. If you would like to know what we hold about a message you sent, or would like it deleted, write to pressroom@gasandoilexpo.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as Canada's PIPEDA, the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR give you further rights, and you may complain to your data protection authority.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
